When Life is in Ruins

Lord, I feel as if my life is just ruining around me

Today I’m going to…

Close my eyes, Lord You’re the calm within my storm

You give me peace I can’t understand and bring me to a norm

So often life seems to bring one sad and sorry trouble after the next. Sometimes those things are small, sometimes they are unbearable. Together, they can make us feel as if our life is literally just lying in ruins all around us.

When life faces us with those very difficult days,  there can be times when we don’t know if we can take anymore; times when we just don’t know if we can take another day of it.

There are so many promises that God makes to us in the bible that tells us just how very much He loves us. There is no burden that He does not care for and will not see us through. The perfect Father, ever beside you.

Isaiah 30:18

Yet the Lord longs to be gracious to you; therefore he will rise up to show you compassion. For the Lord is a God of justice. Blessed are all who wait for him!

      1. Hi,

I just saw your message. You don’t need to thank me every time I reblog / repost your posts.

There are people in this world for whom the words, THANKS & SORRY make no sense. They try to remain neutral.

        Pleasant weekend. 🙂

        1. Hi Suresh.. Ok.. I won’t say “thank you…” even though I am thinking it 😉

I posted something about having loved ones pass today. It is not about our license to live, but that is where I was lead today in writing. Perhaps it is somewhat parallel to what you were thinking.

Hope you are well and blessed,
          Easter

          1. Hi Ellen,

Good to see you in great form. I was away for few days, went to my wife’s elder sister’s village. Just read your message.

Will go thru’ your blog and update you.

Kind of you. Take care and have a pleasant weekend.

          2. Hi Ellen,

I am always well Ellen. I had a great time; enjoyed for few days pure village atmosphere with the Sun blazing down in full spirit.

Great day to you too. 🙂

          3. You are always welcome, Ellen. 🙂

BTW, my brother-in-law’s (my wife’s elder brother) daughter does not like my name being, Suresh Babu; she prefers it to be Babu Suresh. So changed it in my blog. She is just 11 years old.

            Pleasant day. 🙂

          4. Kids are funny.. My name is Easter and my middle name Ellen, but I get called a variety of combinations, changes to and complete replacements for Easter (April, Esther, Heather).

            Thank you, you also.

          5. Hi Ellen,

            ### This does not answer “why”,

I loved reading your translating, answering the most critical question, “the why”, in your most inimitable, wise and subtle manner.

            God Be With You.

            🙂

          6. Thank you so very much Suresh! I am glad that it touched you and answered some. Only God can take the credit for I prayed a lot before writing it. He is so good 🙂
            May God bless you abundantly,

          7. The “why” remains if not always a complex question, leading to developing many negative feelings, paving way to hatred, esp. towards GOD, in the absence of proper guidance, wise and simple interpretation – in particular the role of the GOD. This is where your approach was fantastic and highly wise, matured and natural.

This is possible not just by reading books, listening to discourses, but only by the personal experience of certain degree beyond one’s normal levels.

            GOD BE WITH YOU, Ellen.

          8. Thank you so very much.. what a lovely compliment.
When I was much younger, I prayed for wisdom, not realizing that the path would be so difficult before I would have any at all to impart and share.

The lessons that I’ve walked through have been many. I’ve failed many times but even in doing so, I have learned. Also many successes by the grace of God.

Thank you for being such a wonderful encourager to me.

          9. # I’ve failed many times but even in doing so,

One of the words that I so much love is, “Failure”. I love to fail. My failures have always helped me, guided me to help, guide others in almost all the fields that I had worked.

The successes followed by the failures ultimately help one to learn to stand neutral, under any and all circumstances. This neutrality is what according to me makes persons like you wiser and become a messenger of the GOD.

            🙂

  2. Thankfully God is more than just to me. Woe to me if God is only just. For the justice I have earned is terribly damning. To me God is gracious. And, His Son Jesus has already paid for my sin. Thanx be to God.
But, put those thoughts aside. I like your meditation. Glory be to God!
