Dewdrops of Beauty

Dewdrops of Beauty

Dewdrops of beauty falling from Heaven

Love sprinkled down from above

Little gifts of unsought pleasure

Dewdrops of God’s unending love

Petals of hope that float into our soul

As we lift our face to the sky

Arms open wide as we bask in His love

As our worries and sorrows untie

Feathers of happiness brush over our sprit

As God gazes on us in grace

The joy of our being held in His hands

His love an invisible embrace

Beautiful moments that ripple through time

God-given raindrops of peace

Encompass our being, no matter when

May our faith in Him ever increase

Wandering Girl

Wandering Girl

Broken and destitute, lost and gone

She wanders her way as she saunters along

Ignored and forgotten, who’s child is this

That once was a wee one who adored mother’s kiss

She breaks the heart of those she once knew

Then a beautiful girl, now broken and blue

What can I do to undo this oppression?

She is ruled by darkness, stuck in depression

Where can I turn when life leaves her behind?

Unnoticed, forgotten, spiritually blind

I pray for God’s mercy to draw her in tight

I pray that she’ll relent to Him and give up her fight

I pray for peace to embrace her poor, tortured soul

I pray for God’s blessing to see her once again whole

Spring Refresh

Blossoms along the Humber River

Spring Refresh

Sweet sunlight, sweet moonlight
Caress on my face

The wind whispers softly
Spring’s sweet embrace
Kiss of the gentle breeze
Brushing my lips
Warmth of the mid-day
My worries eclipse
Sweet songs of birds
Play love in my ears
The sound of the ocean
Ebbing my fears
God’s love surrounds
As I greet the new day
Tender mercy refreshed
In this most tangible way

The Lost Ones

Version 2

The Lost Ones

I reach My hand out to the poor, the needy and the ill

I reach My hand to the broken, to save them’s My will

Poor in spirit, faint of heart, I love one and all

My voice a gentile, prodding tone, it is to them I call

I ache to save the lost ones who I created with my Hand

I ache to draw them to Me, that their hearts would understand

I pour My love out like sweet oil, beckoning with my voice

I pour My heart out for their sake waiting to be their choice

I reign on high, I’m Lord of All, I’ve already won the battle

These souls are rightfully mine to take, not abandoned chattel

Spring’s Blessings

Spring’s Blessings

If flowers could speak, what would they say?

They’d say they[re a smile from God on this day

The blanket of dew that shines in the morning

Bejewelled, it falls gently, sweetly adorning

The sweet spring wind that brushes your face

A whisper of mercy, a sigh of God’s grace

The song of a bird sings her delight

Blessing her listeners from morning to night

All hand made by God above

To bless you this day with His beauty and love

Golden Song

Golden Song

You bathed me in sweet oil

You sprinkled me with gold

You led me to your banquet hall

You were beautiful to behold

Your table stretched on and on

There was no end in site

A seat for every loved one

Surrounded in Heavenly light

As I stood, love surrounded me

You laid your hand on mine

You placed a banner over me

And then said “you are mine”

My fountain of hope, You filled me up

Joy was over flowing

Your radiant face, fixed on me

Your smile so bright and glowing

Into Your Presence

Into Your Presence

Pull me into Your presence Lord

For each day I love you more

I want You to know that I believe

I want You to know it’s You I adore

You say take courage for all is well

You’ve laid out my path and my way

You’ve planned my every moment

You say only to carry this day

For You I will fight all my fears

You place me in the depth of Your love

For You have wiped all my tears

And from hereon only look to above

I belong only to You forever

For Your love burns inside me

Like a father with a newborn babe

You protect and safely guide me

I know You will not fail me

You have prepared my way

Your glory overwhelms me

More love poured out each day

Hope Whispers

Hope Whispers

Hope whispers through the wind and lands like a gentle dove

Hope lifts the dreariest head and fills its soul with love

Love falls softly on longing hearts, ever waiting to adore

Love gifts the soul with her beautiful touch ever giving more

Joy joins the ones who seek God’s truth no matter what the season

Joy to all who seek righteousness; who follow God with reason

Faith builds a home on solid ground, lest the tempest come

Faith fills the heart with peace when life’s dangers surely come

Kindness flows from deep within a loving, giving soul

Kindness when often given, leave one feeling whole

Jesus stands so patiently, gently rapping at your heart

Jesus comes that we may know His love and never be apart

The Charming Truth

I could close my eyes and make a wish, upon a little star

I could think and wish and wish and think, I’d find you, near or far

I saw your eyes, I felt your heart, beating within my spirit

The more and more I wished and waited, the further I felt, not near it

If I believed in magic, I’d have thrown pennies in the pond

I’d make wishes off of old bridges, I’d have bought a magic wand

I would seek to learn a magic spell to bring you by my side

I stare the heavens, waiting to spy a star falling in the night

I’d blow my candles, wishing that this birthday would bring you

I’d avoid the neighbour’s black cat as she meanders as she mews

I’d always carry the rabbit’s foot that daddy bought when I was eight

I’d never leave the house out from a different door or gate

I’d throw salt over my left shoulder, I would always pass on the right

I’d put lavender on my pillows; avoiding sidewalk cracks day and night

I’d rub a lamp for good luck, I’d drive the same route every day

I’d keep my elbows off the table, I’d see the psychic to learn the way

But truth be told, although charming thoughts, these don’t really work for me

I’d rather say my prayers each night and count each blessing that I see

I thank God above for all my loved ones, I pray blessings at each days end

And I know that God’s love brought you to me, my beloved, my friend

Your Sweet Voice

When I’m so far down that I can’t see light

I slip so easily to that pit without fright

When the day disappears and there’s only night

I cry out to hear Your sweet sound

When my head is filled with thoughts of despair

When the days disappear and nothing is clear

When I can’t form the words in a calm sweet prayer

I know that Your love will abound

You lift me up in your tender wings

Oh so sweetly my spirit sings

I am lifted into the arms of a King

And in Your arms I feel love

I let you carry my burden called life

I hand you over my worries and strife

Even the worst which seem so rife

I give thanks to You Father  above
