Your Love

This is all so new; Your precious love

You rein me in so tenderly

A full commitment is what you have for me

Nothing in this world could ever compare

I just want to tell you how I love you

I know You understand

I know You’ll never let me go

You’ll never let me down

You’ll never leave me stranded

You’ll never hurt my heart

You’ll never tell me goodbye

No matter what, You’ll never leave me

Your Sweet Voice

When I’m so far down that I can’t see light

I slip so easily to that pit without fright

When the day disappears and there’s only night

I cry out to hear Your sweet sound

When my head is filled with thoughts of despair

When the days disappear and nothing is clear

When I can’t form the words in a calm sweet prayer

I know that Your love will abound

You lift me up in your tender wings

Oh so sweetly my spirit sings

I am lifted into the arms of a King

And in Your arms I feel love

I let you carry my burden called life

I hand you over my worries and strife

Even the worst which seem so rife

I give thanks to You Father  above

Where to Go from Here

Where to Go from Here

Where do I go from here, God?

Today I can..

Look to the light You’ve set unto my path

And know that Your love will guide my way along the wide road and the lath

The future can often feel so daunting, whether in the immediate, or in the far future. Which choices to make along the way. From early decisions such as education, friends we make and relationships that we establish to career choices, family decisions and the ways to cope through life’s many struggles, which way to go is always at our best, an educated decision; a hopeful choice; a path chosen from advice and thought.

When we allow God and our faith to lead our choices, the path, although perhaps just as daunting in how it may appear to us, is clear in our Heavenly Father’s eyes. It is one that was laid for us before the beginning of time and one that we can trust as it is the all-knowing, all-seeing God of the universe that has set it for us.

We find that He leads us in our path through prayer, through the courage to step out in faith with Him and in His Holy Word.

Psalm 119:105 Your word is a lamp for my feet; a lamp on my path.

“If Only”s

If Only….

Lord, when I look back, I see what I could have done and where I’ve gone wrong…

Today I’m going to:

Look to You, instead of looking back

I know that You’re my Lord of all and will put my life on track

Life is full of “if only”s. “If only I hadn’t….”; “if only I could have….”; “if only I’d known then….”.

Living life with these types of regrets is dangerous to our spirit and to growing as a person in our life. It is easy to get stuck in the past and what could have been, should have been, would have been, etc. What does pondering these things accomplish other than leaving a wistful sadness in your being? It gets you nowhere and worse, it can cripple you from moving forward because you are too busy looking at the past.

God promises that He has a plan for us. He promises that He will not let any of our life be a waste when He promises that He uses “all things for our good”. God’s love for you is boundless and too much for us to fathom.

When we focus our eyes and our lives on following God’s direction, our regretful hearts become renewed into hearts of hope. Hope in knowing that the Creator of all is lovingly waiting to guide us and lead us in our days. What wonderful peace awaits us in this knowledge! What joy in knowing that our tomorrows are in our loving Heavenly Father’s hands!

Joshua 1:9 Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged, for the Lord your God will be with you wherever you go.”

Nothing Left

Nothing Left

Lord, I feel that I have nothing left to give; no more strength, .

Today I’m going to…

Take a breath, thank the Lord, for He’s my strength

I can do all things through God, He’s within my arm’s length

How can I get through today? How can I deal with the people in my life? Work, family, tasks, errands, obligations.. I have nothing left. No strength. No will. There is just nothing left.

So many things can weigh our spirits down. So many times in life we can be overwhelmed by not only the big tasks, but getting through the little ones that are our routine. Feeling weary, feeling tired, feeling incapable can be defeating.

The beauty of God, is that He promises us that He is our strength. That we can do all things through Him, because He strengthens us. Just think about that and let your faith, however weak you may feel it is, take over. You are able to get through your day, your errands, your obligations, because God’s strength is yours for the asking. Ask and you will receive!

Philippians 4:13 I can do all this through him who gives me strength.

Unrooted

Unrooted

Dear God, Sometimes I just don’t feel that I am where I should be.. I feel like my whole life has been uprooted.

Today I’m going to…

Smile, as I am a chosen child of the Lord

He loves me as a Father, and my peace is His reward

So often I have felt like I just could not get things on track; that life had uprooted me from the dreams I had carried with me and thrown me into the darkness. I felt I had been robbed of my dreams and put onto a much harsher path than I had chosen.

The feeling of being uprooted is so difficult to deal with on our own.  This feeling can be from any of life’s tragedies or through our own emotional struggles but Our Heavenly Father comforts us always. He tells us that he loves us despite our iniquities and moreso, He deights in us returning to Him. Do you know that the angels of Heaven rejoice in singing when we turn to God? Our turning to Him allows His love to channel through to us by the Holy Spirit and fills us with the sure knowledge that we are secure as His child.  His plans for us engraved from the beginning of time and His promise of peace and love that are beyond our greatest hopes.

Psalm 16:6 The boundary lines have fallen for me in pleasant places; surely I have a delightful inheritance.
